Each year at the beginning of the year, the church does a 21 day fast. Normally this is no problem but yesterday my stomach started to not feel good and today I didn’t run because I was sick. I ate, which grieves me. While waiting for the meal to be served I was afraid I wasn’t going to make it. When it came, I had to eat slow, didn’t eat much to start, but gradually improved throughout the day. Maybe the 9000′ with the running every day, and the long distance I went yesterday following the lady with the wheel chair doesn’t work. Normally I run climb fast Mt. Monserrate (10,050′) but that’s not going to happen right away. It wasn’t smart to give blood just before coming here either, duh. I gained some great contacts, leverage technology to get around and do many things, etc. However, I miss helping out and being with the kids. I never expected such a situation to be possible. Today I was surprised to learn that at the house I’m staying at, the lady translates the Bible into indigenous languages while her husband travels around Colombia and visits them so I took a picture of them. God sure knows how to put things together. I bought flex-tickets so I set up a flight back to the U.S. to do all of the year end stuff and try to assemble everything I’ve learned into a plan and at least get conversational in Spanish. In the mean time I’m going to work at getting the forms an requirements, work up a plan at feeling better and visiting the grocery store and food court at Unicentro. The weather remains sunny.
